The Master’s Vessels / Dr. Billy Sichone / Farewell to Linda

The faithful servant, the Son and the house: Hebrews 3 declares Moses to be a faithful servant in all God’s house because he would testify of the things that would later be spoken – namely of redemption of the house by the Son. Clearly greater than the servant of the house, Jesus is faithful over God’s house as a son and heir. We, as the children adopted by the Father, are the house and the inheritance of the Son who gave His life for us so that He might ransom us for Himself. Imagine what He desires to do with His inheritance for which He willingly gave His life! Surely as the wise and faithful Son, the steward of His Father’s estate, He desires to invest His inheritance most wisely so that the Father might be honored. As we abandon ourselves to the Son, He will utilize each of us as “a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy, useful to the master of the house, ready for every good work” (2 Tim 2:21). Let us avail ourselves as vessels for honorable use so that Jesus, the master of the house, might glorify the Father through us in every good work.
